Am I fed up of watching the Blues? I sure am at the present time. < <

Are you for real? We play great attacking football. Even though we are worryingly profligate with our chances at least it's entertaining!

I cant for the life of me understand

how a 3-1 defeat can be entertaining

so you prefer a 0-0 bore draw ball being smashed from defence to striker 2 good solid center backs and 1 goal a game here is not the place to be

Funny isn't it.

Some were saying last year they'd rather lose 3 - 1 attacking than lose 1 nil under the McBoring football style

This team is infinitely more watchable than the dross we had to suffer last year. Fortunately the imbecile responsible for that dross is now whoring himself in the twilght zone. Sure it's frustrating to lose two away games in which we have taken the lead but we have a whole raft of injuries and a very thin squad and we owe the manager a little patience. Yeung out now!

thriller at home to Wigan

You mean when we scored a questionable penalty around the 20 minute mark and then did nothing but defend the rest of the match?

That's the only football match I've ever genuinely fell asleep in sat in my seat. I really hope you're thinking of the away game, because if you think that was 'thrilling' my god you live a dull life.

i was would you preffer to see a game with goals and the ball on the floor
or a boring bypassing midfield ball to the lone striker who cant score

The answer is somewhere in between. whats the point in playing attacking football if you cannot defend. (keeping your best defender on the bench) highlights my point.

this side is not capable of outscoring anyone. just as under McLiesh we have no fit recognised strikers.

You are not old enough to remember the days of Francis, Latchford,Hatton,Taylor,Campbell,Burns etc they could score for fun. BUT at the same time we could not defend if our lives depended on it.

What we have to do is 1st is make sure we are not going to lose the game, [/QUOTE]
Id agree with Willie but its kind of frustrating is it not?

Under McLies we couldnt score and defended well (mostly) but when the goals started to leak in it took us down (as we were out scored)

And now we are faced with a leaky defence (sorry but Myhill looks a liability but lets give him time) and yes we have a great defender that cant be played and instead is being paid huge amounts to get a numb bum sitting on a bench all day long. So defence problems.

We also have clear attacking problems in that we have good strikers that are injured, and so now we cant outscore many either.

CH is clearly wanting to attack more and is certainly ringing the changes with the formations but currently until we get more players in, we are pretty much stuffed = unless we are at home to weaker teams like Cov.

Oh sorry to keep to the thread - id give them all about 5 for the last game. Roll on Thursday!

Agreed. That was one of the worst games I have ever seen .

Gotta take the positives out the game tbh, for example!

56% Possession
7 shots on target
5 shots off target
7 corners

Whilst at Middlesbrough away, it's still looking good for us, we would have never had the amount of chances we're getting whilst at home against Wigan last season. When King is back and partnering Rooney, I'm sure we'll score a lot more goals, Just stay positive! KRO

:D

One can be optimistic, no?

We all knew it was going to be a tough season, so we shouldn't act so surprised at our fortunes on the field. Derby and Boro are flying at present but for how long. Ipswich were title favourites. Thrashed 7-1. Leicester have spent big. Not doing so well really.

I can't see us getting out of this league for a couple of seasons at least. We play with what we have and CH will get the best out of what he has to work with.

The only team playing entertaining football

and winning games is Barcelona.

fail.

Southampton
Swansea
Napoli
Villareal

and thats just a quick off the top of my head response.. there are plenty more

but of course Barcelona can't be touched, they are the best team ever imo, with 5 or 6 of the best players in the world in their team... always helps

What we have to do is 1st is make sure we are not going to lose the game,

CH is keeping his "best" defender on the bench because
A) the club want to sell him
B) CH explained on radio that he is playing CD & Caldwell because they have got to build a partnership. that will help us over the season, and he's right, no point playing Dann if he is going, and what's to say he will do any better at present?
